Bentonville Festival Quickly Evolved into One of Region’s Top Celebrations

Northwest Arkansas’ calendar is packed with fantastic community celebrations, runs, rides, tournaments, rallies and fairs, but only a few have separated themselves to become true regional standouts.

The Bentonville Film Festival, which starts next Tuesday and ends May 6, certainly fits the bill as one of the best events. In just its fourth year, it joins a select group of the region’s top celebrations and many of the others have been around for a decade or more.

New Highway Investment Will Improve Trip to XNA

Northwest Arkansas leaders and the Arkansas Department of Transportation earlier today celebrated the competition of one of the biggest highway projects in state history.

The first 4.5 miles of the future U.S. 412 bypass, which will be known as Arkansas Highway 612 for now because the section doesn’t connect to U.S. 412, cost $100.6 million and was completed a full year ahead of schedule. It connects to Interstate 49 near the J.B. Hunt Transport Services headquarters in Lowell and heads west from there.
