The new exhibit at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art caught the attention of The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley.
Called “State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now,” the exhibit opened on Saturday CBS on Wedneseday night showed off much of the art that’s part of the special exhibit, chatting with the museum’s staff and the artists themselves.
At the top of the Wednesday night newscast, Pelley referred to the work of the museum’s president, Don Baciagalup and assistant curator Chad Alligood, who traveled to 174 cities and visited hundreds of artists to identify art that should be part of the new exhibit at Crystal Bridges, as “the search for the next Norman Rockwell.”
