NW Arkansas Closing in on Top 100, Census Shows

Just four larger metropolitan areas in the U.S. are growing at a faster rate than Northwest Arkansas.

The region’s 18.6 percent growth since the 2010 Census is one of the most telling statistics about the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers Metropolitan Statistical Area (Northwest Arkansas) and its rise toward becoming one of the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas.

Ironman Sizing Up Fayetteville as Triathlon Site

Fayetteville is one of four cities in the Central U.S. vying to host one of the world’s premier endurance tests.

Officials with the Ironman Triathlon announced today that Northwest Arkansas’ Fayetteville is competing against Des Moines, Tulsa and Memphis to host the event in the late spring or early summer 2020. A final selection will be made in June, officials said.

WeWork Planning Site in Bentonville to Serve Companies

Northwest Arkansas will become home to the state’s first WeWork location as the company announced today that it’s expanding to Bentonville.

WeWork Companies Inc. plans to open a massive 200,000-square-foot development in the city’s downtown area. The announcement took place during a panel discussion in Bentonville between WeWork Co-Founder Miguel McKelvey, Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, Bentonville Mayor Stephanie Orman, and Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Graham Cobb.
