The University of Arkansas continues to receive high rankings for being veteran friendly. The latest report ranks the university in the top 25 schools across the nation for veterans looking to attend college.
BestColleges.com has released their list of the top 50 schools for veterans in the country and the U of A cracked the top half at 24. According to the review, the university “strives to meet the needs of each veteran student by taking an individualized approach to counseling and academic assistance.”
“Being named among the top colleges for veterans is a great recognition of how our institution has united to help student veterans succeed in college,” said Erika Gamboa, director of Veterans Resource and Information Center. “Members of the VRIC staff are proud to have served our country and are honored to have the opportunity to continue helping fellow veterans and their families pursue educational opportunities.”
The objective of BestColleges.com’s list is to provide a “comprehensive resource that veterans, active service members, reservists, and military dependents or spouses can use to determine which college will provide the most support, in terms of both financial aid and student services.”
