The Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, in collaboration with the Northwest Arkansas Council, is turning the release of the State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report into a luncheon for the first time.

The annual State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report, which was first released in 2011, will be shared at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 at the Holiday Inn in Springdale. The address is 1500 S. 48th Street.

Speakers at the event will include Ted Abernathy of Economic Leadership LLC, a Raleigh, N.C.-based economic development consultancy, and University of Arkansas economist Kathy Deck, the director of UA’s Center for Business and Economic Research.

Abernathy will share a national perspective on economic issues and trends that are important to Northwest Arkansas. Deck will talk about the highlights in the State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report as well as share information in the Center for Business and Economic Research’s Quarterly Business Analysis.

The cost for the program and luncheon is $30. Preregistration is required, and the deadline is Monday, Sept. 29.

Reservations may be made online for the luncheon at this link.
