Creative Arkansas Community Hub & Exchange

CACHE supports the region’s developing arts and culture community.
Since its inception in August 2019, the organization has raised nearly $3.5 million through support from the Walmart Foundation, the Tyson Family Foundation and the Walton Family Foundation. CACHE coordinates these investments to ensure that they scale toward its goals of elevating local creatives, building a more equitable arts marketplace, connecting NWA with world-renowned leaders and artists, and developing a robust, culturally-diverse creative hub.
Some current CACHE initiatives include providing financial support to nonprofits in the wake of COVID-19, a digital series that deep-dives into the world of artists, and a program to enrich the NWA music scene, touching on everything from education to artist spaces.
Some key initiatives include:

Arts and Culture Bridge Fund
Supported by the Walton Family Foundation, this fund provided $750,000 in grants to 24 local, small and midsize arts and culture nonprofits impacted by COVID-19.

OZCast
This experimental variety-style digital series explores the diverse multidisciplinary landscape of the artists, communities and places in Arkansas and the heartland. OZCast is a collaboration between Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art / The Momentary, Oakland, California–based social design firm Idea2Form, Emmy-Award-winning documentarian Mario Troncoso and CACHE. Episodes are streaming at OZCast.art.

Music Ecosystems Strategy and Action Plan
CACHE worked with British music industry think tank Sound Diplomacy to complete a Music Ecosystem Strategy and Action Plan for NWA. Top-line opportunities identified include residences, school programs and platform development.

Cultural Planning
CACHE partnered with the city of Rogers to lead a cultural planning effort and create an action plan for arts and culture for the city for the next 10 years, including public art, park activation, programming and cultural spaces.

ARt Connect & Artist INC
In partnership with Mid-America Arts Alliance in Kansas City, Missouri, CACHE co-hosts ARt Connect, a professional development program for small to midsize arts and culture organizations, as well as Artist INC, which offers training seminars for a cohort of NWA-based professional artists.
