Northwest Arkansas community leaders will host their second Startup Weekend on April 17-19 in Fayetteville.
The 54-hour event, which is connected to similar startup events across the nation, will bring together entrepreneurs from different backgrounds, including software developers, marketers, designers, and other enthusiasts.
The participants who attend have 60 seconds to make a pitch (it’s optional), and then the pitches are whittled down to the top ideas. After that, the teams form around the ideas to come out with several developed companies or projects. Finally, the weekend culminates with demonstrations in front of an audience of judges and potential investors.
The event’s judges include Clete Brewer of NewRoad Ventures, Randy McConnell of Saatchi & Saatchi X, Bill Akins of Rockfish and Kelly Miller of Field Agent.
The event’s sponsors are Startup Junkie Consulting, Stone Ward, RevUnit, PickFu, DataRank, Arkansas Business Publishing Group and Field Agent.
Startup Weekend was first held in Northwest Arkansas in 2013.
