BNSF Logistics celebrated the opening of its new domestic headquarters in Northwest Arkansas today.
Located near Interstate 49 in Springdale, the 30,000-square-foot building is near Arvest Ballpark, the Tyson Recreational Complex and the recently announced Arkansas Children’s Hospital campus. The site will employ 185 people including numerous recent hires, with capacity to eventually support about 225 workers.
“We are thrilled with our new space and excited to be part of this growing area,” said Dan Curtis, chief operating officer at BNSF Logistics. “This top-notch facility and prime location will help our team continue to provide the reliable, efficient service our customers have come to expect.”
BNSF Logistics is an international, multi-modal logistics service provider, helping customers manage and move freight around the world. The company has 40 offices in North America. The Springdale location’s employees focus on trucking and rail services. The space is also home for the company’s corporate IT and HR functions.
The BNSF Logistics team in Northwest Arkansas previously worked at two locations on South Thompson Street in Springdale.
The company worked with commercial real estate firm Sage Partners to select and acquire the space. “Our team was excited to help them locate and select this fantastic site, in one of the fastest-growing corridors in the state,” said Marshall Saviers, a partner with Sage.
