Northwest Arkansas Council hosts free Growing Home NWA event with developer Monte Anderson on Aug. 26 in Fayetteville

The Northwest Arkansas Council invites the public to a special Growing Home NWA event on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Fayetteville Public Library. The event, titled “Building Northwest Arkansas, One Project at a Time,” features Monte Anderson, a nationally recognized developer and educator whose “Town Maker” philosophy has shaped communities across the country through locally driven, incremental, purpose-led development.

The conversation builds on the Growing Home NWA regional growth strategy released earlier this year, which outlines how Northwest Arkansas can manage continued growth while strengthening downtowns, expanding housing choices and preserving quality of life as the region approaches 1 million residents. In June, community leaders gathered to shift the strategy from planning to implementation. This event continues that momentum, bringing a national voice to the local conversation about how communities can grow well, one project at a time.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at noon. Lunch will be provided.
