Preliminary figures released today by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville show the largest school in the state has enrollment near 24,600 this fall.
Fall enrollment last year at the state’s flagship institution was 23,199.
The university administrators, professors and staff have worked hard to expand the university in recent years. As recently as 2009, the university’s total graduate and undergraduate enrollment was less than 20,000.
