Three NW Arkansas Companies Among ‘Most Admired’

hree Northwest Arkansas companies this week were recognized among the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine.

Ranked No. 28 in the world on this year’s list, Bentonville-based Walmart traditionally ranks high on the Fortune list. The annual report card is widely recognized as a top measure of corporate reputation.

Tyson Foods this year was one of six companies in a food production category recognized among the most admired list. The company’s highest score was for innovation, a nod to its impressive Tyson Discovery Center. The facility is the company’s hub of innovation on its main campus in Springdale.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, which is headquartered in Lowell, ranked third in the trucking, transportation and logistics category on the Fortune most admired list.

Apple Inc. based in Cupertino, Calif., was selected as the world’s most admired company.

Among the 244 companies noted by Fortune, California (37), New York (31), Illinois (21) and Texas (20) had the highest number of companies recognized.
