A Tennesse technology company that expanded its operations in Central Arkansas earlier this year now plans to open a Northwest Arkansas office.
Metova, Inc., an emerging technology company creating apps along with strategy, design, development and marketing, earlier today announced the opening of new Fayetteville office. The company is expanding from its base in Franklin, Tenn. and Conway, Ark., to meet the demands of the rapidly growing mobile and digital media industry.
“The fact that Metova is significantly expanding for the third time is a testament to the state’s growing reputation as a hub for tech companies,” said Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson. “Through increased STEM education and our new computer coding initiative, we are preparing a workforce that will be a great fit for Metova. The company has already announced more than 160 new jobs in Conway in 2015 and now brings 30 additional jobs to northwest Arkansas. We appreciate Metova’s ongoing commitment to doing business in Arkansas.”
Metova CEO John Adams said Northwest Arkansas is a “ideal location for our latest expansion, where there is a great pool of talent, higher education opportunities, and a thriving business environment.” The company’s impressive list of clients includes Yelp, Dropbox, eHarmony, Flixster and the U.S. Department of Defense.
“We are excited to announce Metova’s newest office expansion in Fayetteville immediately creating 30 new jobs primarily in application programming and development,” Adams said.
Metova is looking for developers who are excellent problem solvers with superior communication skills interested in working on great projects in a unique culture, the company said in a press release.
The company has taken a major interest in providing Arkansas jobs this year. The Log Cabin Democrat, a newspaper in Conway, reported in July that Metova would be adding 100 jobs in that community. About 60 people were employed in the Conway office at the time of the announcement.
