Hundreds of U.S. regions are challenged to provide employers with an excellent workforce, and Northwest Arkansas is addressing that challenge in a big way.

The Northwest Arkansas Workforce Summit, scheduled for Nov. 17 at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale, brings together hundreds of employers, educators, government leaders and policy makers to address workforce, one of the region’s most important issues.

Those attending the event will include human resources professionals, school administrators, career and technical education teachers, high school counselors and business leaders.

The day-long event is organized by the Springdale Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Northwest Arkansas Council, and it’s intended to provide value to all Northwest Arkansas communities.

Registration for the event can be completed by going to the Springdale Chamber of Commerce website. The standard registration fee is $49; educators may attend for free but must register.

The impressive list of speakers will include Jennifer McNelly, executive director of The Manufacturing Institute; Tim Hodges, director of research for Gallup’s Education Practice; Rick Webb, a former senior vice president for global business processes at Walmart; and Russell Tooley, executive vice president of business process and continuous improvement.

The day’s other speakers include Charisse Childers, director of the Arkansas Department of Career Education; Danny Games, deputy director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission; and Randy Zook, president of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.

Special thanks to our major investors for their support of the Northwest Arkansas Council and our work in the region:
